Happy Halloween

Tuesday was CL's birthday! So we took him his favorite
treats, rice Krispy treats. After that we went to M's house because
she wanted us to meet R and O's teacher so we met with her
and she was really nice, we had a good visit with M, her family and
the teacher. Then we visited CL and Jan and gave him the treats  we
made, he was appreciative. We then visited with a less active man.
After that we went to dinner which was supposed to be at Kehde's bbq,
but ended up being at Golden Corral because Kehdes was closed for some
odd reason. Well, we visited with the Seniors for a while, then we
visited with another investigator which went really well! We read 3
Nephi 11 and he even addressed the spirit he felt, which was great!
Then we got transfer rosters... Elder Conley was going to St. Joseph's
2 Ward to serve with Elder Staley. I'm staying in Sedalia and training
a new missionary. I was pumped, but sad to see Conley go.

Wednesday, Conley said bye to CL and Jan, the M family, T.D. (a less
active man we are working with), Mike and Janice, some investigators, and
the Y family. We had lunch with Mary, her mom and Ricardo and Olivia.
Conley packed in the morning. We said bye the entire day really.

Thursday, got up and went to transfers. My new companion is Elder
Howell from Puyallup, Washington; and a Spanish speaker. We were at
transfers for a while and visited with the missionaries. Went to lunch
at Wendy's with Elders Williams and Herrod, the Tipton Elders. Came to
Sedalia, let Elder Howell unpack and then set up his iPad. Visited
Mike and Janice, Mary, Marcie and Stephanie, then we went to the Ward
Mission Leaders house. We finished by doing family history with
Mary and Sister Y which went great, Mary really felt the spirit!!

Friday, I felt like I was in a funk. We visited with an investigator
then a member we want to work with that investigator right after.
After that we went and had a lesson with Mike and Janice, taught the
Plan of Salvation with a member there. Well, then we went to Mary's
house to see if we were still going to eat with her at 5 for her
birthday dinner, it was like 4:40, because we were going to visit some
less active member before then. Well, dinner was ready, so we ate
there and Mary was busy getting ready so we ended up eating her moms
cooking and finishing before she got out of the back. We ate cake and
talked to her which was good. Then we went to the ward party which was
good.

Saturday, helped a family move in the morning. Then we went and
tracted for a little in a trailer park, we were able to pass out 2
copies of the Book of Mormon to some nice people. After that we went
and input all the information into the area book planner then went to
dinner. After that a person we had formerly contacted asked us for
some help, when we went to help her, we gave out another Book of
Mormon totaling three for the day! Then we did weekly planning since
we couldn't be out on Halloween night.

Sunday, fast Sunday but actually a slow Sunday. Church was okay, I
translated some of the testimonies into Spanish. Sunday school was
about eternal marriage but ended up being about attending the temple.
Priesthood was about Elder Bednar's talk from April 2015, "Therefore,
they hushed their fears". After church, we changed then had a lesson
with Mary; where we talked about the bigger commandments. She
expressed concerns with paying tithing with such a limited income, and
decided that she would pay it; which is a very faithful move of her.
Then we played a little soccer with the C kids. After that we
went and talked with some investigators. Then we visited with a less
active woman and talked about family history. Then dinner with the two
very funny families, after that we went to a funeral viewing for a
members mother who passed away to give our condolences; then we
visited with a member.
