Temple Trip

This week was good, but we had a bit of a rough patch but it's all better now.

Tuesday, we had a pretty slow day, we had quite a few people drop us
which was pretty rough. But we just gotta keep workin hard and things
will start to work out! We also had to get our oil changed it the car
so that took a little time. After that we had dinner and then visited
with two different less active members we've been working with. One of
which, D. G. We've been visiting with since I got here and we
had the best meeting I've had since I got here, he is considering
coming back to church which is amazing because for a while I felt as
if we were getting nowhere.

Wednesday, we had district meeting. We had a member from the mission
presidency come down and he trained about persevering through
difficult times. He talked about remembering our divine potential as
missionaries in all that we do. There was also a training on the
importance of asking for referrals. After that we had a picture taken
of our District by a member who is a photographer, he just wanted to
take a picture of our district. Then we went to district lunch. After
lunch we tried to contact some people before going to an early dinner
at a steakhouse with some members. After dinner went to V and
J's house and read some scriptures and helped V with his
homework, he started college this week.

Thursday, we went on exchanges with the Concordia elders. I went with
Elder Ellsworth to Concordia. I did a baptismal interview for a lady
they had on baptismal date. Then we went to Lexington on, a town in
their area and tried to find an address before just going to the
Missouri River and taking a few sweet pictures, see pics. Then we had
dinner and the appointment we had cancelled so we went and exchanged
back because we had to go the temple early in the morning.

Friday, we went to the temple with the Tipton Elders, Sister Y and
a recent RM in the ward Andrew Mather. Andrew is a SUPER cool guy.
Well, we did two sessions and some initiatories in between, it was so
rejuvenating. Man, my testimony of the peace of the temple was
strengthened so much this week. The spirit there is amazing, there is
nothing that even compares to it; it's a goal everyone should have.
Well, after the temple we ate because we were there from like 9-3 so
we were all starving. Well, we ate and then we visited with a few
people around Liberty area. After that we dove back to Sedalia and
because we ended so late, we drove straight to dinner haha, it was
supposed to be at 5:30 but we ended up not arriving until about 7...
The lady instructed us to go a certain way but it was way longer than
the way the gps told us to go. After dinner we drove back to Sedalia
because the lady's house was in Green Ridge, a small town.

Saturday, we had correlation, we had a good discussion and it lasted
for 2 hours rather than 1. After that we ate lunch then went back to
the church where we filled the font for a few primary baptisms that
day, then we stayed for one of the baptisms. After the baptism we
tried some people and then had dinner with the Ms, it was a
birthday party for M and S since they both had birthdays
within a week.

Sunday, it snowed Saturday night so the roads were super slick, it's
fun driving in snow haha. Church was good, we had a less active boy
come to church and he got the Aaronic priesthood and became a priest!!
And he asked me to ordain him!! It was so sick! After church we
visited with a few people. Then we had a few lessons with less active
members.

It was a good week. I'm sorry glad I got to go to the temple and just
feel peace there. As a missionary, life is difficult and tiring. So
the temple is a perfect place to have batteries recharged, I
absolutely love it. I hope everyone makes time for the temple, because
whether you accept it or not, you need it. Have a great week!
